  Meet Our Team
Dr. Bryan Simons grew up in the piney hills of Longview, Texas where he graduated from Longview High School with Hollywood actor Matthew McConaughey in 1988. He went on to enroll in Texas A&M University's PreDent program from 1988-1992. After 4 great years at A&M, he was accepted to Baylor College of Dentistry, where he not only became a Dentist but met his wife of 10+ years Traci Simons DDS,MS. Besides spending time with his large family, he also is the lead singer and song writer to the soon to be multiplatinum band the "White Trash Cowboys". Surely you have heard of us!! Anyway, he moved to Austin in 2000 and started building "Simons Family Dental Center" which was completed and ready for business in 2001. He, like his wife, spent a week in the jungle of Guatemala practicing dentistry on the underprivileged people who had never seen a 6'3" white man coming at them with a syringe in his hand. An unbelievable experience I recommend to all!! Almost as fun as opening up for the Marshall Tucker Band in 2003.

Dr. Traci Simons received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Texas in El Paso in 1992. She graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1997. She completed her residency and earned a certificate in Pediatric Dentistry at Baylor College of Dentistry in association with Children's Medical Center of Dallas and Texas Scottish Rite Hospital. Dr. Traci went on to receive her Master's Degree from Baylor College of Dentistry/Texas A & M University Systems. Dr. Traci is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentists and the Texas Association of Pediatric Dentists. Dr. Traci has traveled with Faith in Practice to provide dental care to underprivledged children in Guatemala. She loves spending time with her husband Bryan and the five (yes…FIVE) beautiful children they have been blessed with.

Drs. Bryan and Traci Simons opened Simons Family Dental Center in October 2001.

Dr. Minhha Nguyen (nickname is Minnie) first discovered her desire to become a dentist while obtaining her Bachelors of Science at Texas A&M University. After obtaining her dental degree at Baylor College of Dentistry, she completed a residency (Advanced Education in General Dentistry) at UT Health Science Center-San Antonio. Dr. Ma loves to knit, shop, read and cook. She especially loves to spend time with her husband, Sean, and their maltese, Kerbey.


Bob is our Office Manager and general fix-it guy. He's been with us since 2000. Prior to this he was involved in real estate sales and management of manufacturing companies. Bob is also the proud father of Dr. Traci Simons. He is always ready to answer any questions you may have as well as assist you any way possible.

Marilyn has been a part of the team since 2000. She graduated from UTHSC in Houston and also has a BBA from University of Houston. She loves to work with all ages of people. She is an animal lover, owning several birds and other pets. Marilyn is a member of several organizations to protect and rescue neglected animals. She also loves traveling and enjoying the great outdoors.

Gail is one of our general dentistry assistants. She has been a part of the team since 2002. She is great at making any anxious patients feel very comfortable. In her spare time she loves spending time with her family.

Amanda is one of our full-time dental hygienists who also serves as the office event coordinator. She graduated from the Tyler Junior College Dental Hygiene Program in 2003. Originally from Longview, Texas, Amanda moved to Austin in 2004. In her spare time, she enjoys continuing her education and recently completed a Bachelors Degree in Health Administration.

Veronica was born and raised in South Texas. After graduating High School, she attended St. Edward's University and received a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry. After college, she began working for an orthodontist where she found a passion for dentistry. She worked in orthodontics for 12 years, then decided to return to school. In 2009, she received an Associates of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from Austin Community College. She is an active member of the Austin District Dental Hygiene Society and enjoys volunteering for community events where she can be of service. Her favorite pass time is spending time with her husband and two boys.

Anna is one of our front office assistants. She answers the phone, makes appointments, and checks patients in and out. She loves taking care of Mort, her husband of 25 years, their seven daughters and new son-in-law! Anna also likes to crochet, knit,and read in between driving her daughters to dance lessons and volunteering at her church.

Nicole is one of Dr. Traci's assistants and works in the front office. Born and raised in Fredericksburg, Texas, she moved to Austin two years ago with her husband and family. She attended The Academy of Health Care, and after graduating, joined the Simons Family Dental team. She enjoys being with the family and loves children.

Joanna has been a dental assistant for over 6 years. She previously worked as an orthodontic assistant where she enjoyed working with children and young adults. She takes pleasure in knowing that she's making a life changing difference in someones smile. She loves the outdoors! In her spare time you will find her on a canoe with her husband Josh, and son Julian. They are expecting a baby boy this summer!

Max is a Registered Dental Assistant who also holds the position as OSHA coordinator for our office. Max was born and raised in south Austin, and enjoys movies and music. He has a wife (Maddie) and son (Kam) who he loves very much.

Mandy is one of front office assistants and has been with us since 2008. Mandy helps out by making appointments, answering phones and checking patients in and out. She is always ready to learn new things and answer questions you may have. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her 2 girls and husband.

Griseth is our front desk receptionist. She has also been with us since 2002. Her job is to assist you with anything from setting appointments to answering the questions you may have. She likes to learn new things that have to do with the dental field.
